Chapters and Conversations

I had a conversation with Joni recently.

We talked about writing chapters.

Sometimes we have old chapters to close, and new chapters to look forward to write.

But what if you’re kind of stuck in the middle? You don’t think you’re really done with the old one, so you can’t exactly use the next page of the book for a new one.

“You can just stop writing you know.”

Huh. Never thought of that. But it makes sense.

There are other kinds of stories to fill up first. Perhaps after that you’d be able to write this one a little better…?

I don’t know if that makes sense to some people, but I guess it could mean different things to different people. I like metaphors like that.

Some people say you can never have real conversations online, like Facebook chats and things.

I really really think that’s not true at all!

I love conversations like these.

It felt like we were both floating in space. Conversations can stop time like that. You’re so into it that you forget everything that’s around you.
